Wow, I could really feel that deep sense of being split into a thousand pieces. I think I've lived most of my adult life like that, as so many women have. You captured it so well...and I'm sorry you experience it. But I'm oh so happy you got the feeling of those pieces being called back into you in a positive way. The beginning of healing! At least one aspect of healing.

I am so glad you are finding yoga to be a great way to get back into your body. Scattered pieces is such an apt description of how i have been feeling about myself lately. And with everything that is going on, I feel I am down to tiny little shreds. My usual go to was to medicate, meditate and martini. But I am choosing to drop two.

Jacque, a beautiful piece. It has inspired me to get back to a deeper meditation than I usually do after my yoga. You reminded me how physical the coming back together can be after deep meditation and how healing. Always, when I do it right, the feeling of peace comes, or I cry. Both are good for us.

Thank you.

Ann, I'm so glad to hear that you are considering deeper meditation with your yoga. It feels incredible to connect the entire "me". So healing, and empowering. ❤️

This inspired me today, in all the ways I needed. It reminded me that I matter, that I am responsible for taking care with myself and my art. Self love is the ultimate service. Your Substack is a jewel. I want to restack so everyone can share in its bounty.

Oh, Friend, I am SO happy that it is helpful to you. Your words matter. YOU matter!! You are worth taking care of! Your stories are so important and needed. I appreciate you.

Jacque, the image of reassembling yourself at the end of a yoga session resonates deeply with me. Tapping into this "reassembly"---whatever it looks like for each of us---is essential. And, as you eloquently wrote, challenging to do. I'm so happy to hear yoga brought you the peace and perspective to create space for the important things. That is exactly what practicing yoga does for me, too.

Caitlin, I am so happy that you have found your path, and the practices of yoga and writing, that return you to yourself.

I can't imagine a better spokesperson for Emily's yoga class. Your experience of the session- helping you reconnect with your body, mind, heart, and creativity- all of which lead to healing. Nothing short of priceless. Who can't benefit from that? Count me in for Saturday morning!

Thank you, Karen. It was such a surprise and a blessing. See you there!

I'm sorry I missed those yoga sessions. I would love for all the parts of myself to fly back to me. (I've been doing yoga for about 30 years, so my experience could very well be different, but I love hearing about what happened to you.) Did you sign up through her newsletter?

I imagine your yoga practice has helped you along the way. I signed up through her website consultationroom.com. Use her email on her website to request the link. :-)

Wise words, writer friend! I took this week to slow down and it's working. And now you've reminded me I need to do it more often. Even daily.

What a breathtaking experience, Jacque! Full of richness. You came back to yourself. Is t it interesting how this happened. And when it happened. You slowed down. You were intentional. You gave yourself the gift of openness and you showed up. I am so happy for you. That is not easy to do in this time. You are worth it.

Thank you, Rebby. It was such a surprise to have the visual, visceral, experience all at once. It was a gift of healing for which I am so grateful.
