Hey, Writing Friends! Writers write—and we do it well!
Scene: Me, at the library, checking in 2 huge bags of books, and checking most of them out again:
Me: I have been immersed in writing and editing this summer, I couldn’t get them all read. Yet.
Librarian: (face lights up) Oh, you’re a published author?
Me: Yes!
Librarian: What genre?
Me: Creative non-fiction mostly, sprinkled with fiction here and there.
Librarian: What is your book title?
Me: Writing Companions. It will be out this December, along with several books from my writing friends in A Writing Room. It’s been an amazing year for us!
Librarian: Wow! Let me know when they’re released.
Me: You can count on it!
Writers, day by day, Bird by Bird, Silent Writing Session by Silent Writing Session in A Writing Room, we’ve become authors! Not based on whether we’ve published or not, but by the act of writing.
How does it feel to claim your identity as a Writer and Author??
I want to hear more about your book!
It feels great to claim that identity!!!
Thanks for writing about this in such a wonderful & relatable way...you rock!
Despite the voices in my head I will keep writing & your support has been so huge for me.
I cannot wait to read your book Jacque!
