This piece is such a powerful snapshot of how our community supports one another, and how writing (or just being) with other writers replenishes my creative soul. Thank you for your leadership, example, and this beautiful piece bearing witness to the power of community in our collective well-being. Now more than ever we need to keep showing up for each other, so we can each counter the madness around us in our own way.
Wendy, I am so grateful we can endure, write, and heal together in our Community. The love, encouragement, and hope we collectively create together radiates outside our Silent Writing sessions into our families and communities. It is amazing. I am so grateful. Hope you are doing well. β€οΈ
Thank you, Jacque, for reminding us that gathering in community is key, and that writing is our way to hope. I have dragged myself through this week and the SW sessions have carried me. I can hold on from one to the next and know I am being held. This is a wonderful piece. β₯οΈ
Thank you for your kindness, Norma Lee. The Silent Writing Sessions have been a bright light for me also. I always feel happier afterward than when I entered that healing space. I'm always so glad to see you there. β€οΈ
Today, Love led me here to this beautiful and profound message of creating community and connection to combat the hopelessness and terror. The news of the world is much too harsh to bear alone so we carry it together. Thank you for this post. β€οΈππ₯°
Important piece, Jacque. Thank you for writing it. Thank you for making that space where people could be open in processing/shifting energy, instead of having to shut it down. I really wish you and I weren't on different timelines...I'd love to come to your meetings, but the occur during my prime sleeping time π΄
Thank you, Janet. Our time zones are a challenge for sure! Once I get feeling better, I hope to add some later afternoon sessions back into the schedule. Maybe we can write together more often then. Your work is incredibly important to humanity. βοΈ βοΈ βοΈ β€οΈ β€οΈ β€οΈ
Thank you, Jacque! I felt that community connection in Wednesdayβs silent writing group. I saw you there! Thank you for your beautiful piece and for your gentle support of all!
Liz, I am so glad you felt that. Your steady, kind presence is a big part of making it possible. β€οΈ Your writing is so important, so needed. β€οΈ
Thank you Jacque. Tuesday night's SW with Janet was another chance to connect and talk together for two hours after our writing session. I want to respond to this crisis with hope and faith that communities across the country are working together, growing until we are a mass of resistance against the brutality and the pain caused by our government.
Dee, I am SO thankful for the welcoming, safe space that Janet provides. I'm glad you could be there. The way you want to respond to all this chaos and cruelty is powerful. That is how we will all be able to begin to heal. We must hold on to hope, with faith in our fellow Americans in each community. Take heart, and please keep writing and sharing. You matter. β€οΈ
I really must get serious about finding a way to stay up later so I can be there too. Or else! π«£π€π Thank you for creating such a safe, welcoming space, Janet. You are providing healing and empowerment every session. β€οΈ
oh heavens! I wish I would have been on that call! This reflection is so well written and so true. We need each other at times like this. I did join a SW later that night in the hospital and even just seeing familiar faces made me feel better. Thank you for giving your time, and helping form this community.
I'm so glad you were able to join in that session while in the hospital. I understand the comfort our lovely AWR Community provides. I have logged in at times when I couldn't write, just to be with friends, to encourage and to be encouraged. Above all, I am SO thankful you are feeling better. β€οΈ
Youβre a beautiful source of love in the A Writing Room community. Thank you for what you do to fill your heart with light and shine it on us.
Thank you so much, Claudia π
Such an important piece, Jacque. Thank you for expressing so artfully what so many of us feel. π
It is a tough time for all of us to navigate. Iβm glad we have each other for support.

It should be βbareβ alone, not βbearβ alone. Although sometimes it feels like an angry grizzly or black bear coming at us!
